Established Company in business for over 50 years, Tarr LLC has an immediate opening for a full time Warehouse/Forklift position in the Chemical Industry. Responsibilities: 1. Performs daily operations and safety check on equipment prior to using each morning. 2. Must be forklift certified. 3. Pulls orders accurately (checking for correct product name and number) and safely in preparation for prompt shipment and verifies and receives incoming shipments. 4. Loads and unloads trucks and assists drivers, as needed. 5. Fills drums and cans with chemicals and other products as required. 6. Organizes products in warehouse. 7. Manages required paperwork flow to assure correct inventory levels. 8. Assists the Inventory Manager by performing annual and cycle-counts as required. 9. Must have working knowledge of warehouse equipment including, but not limited to, counterbalance forklift, pallet jack, hand truck, scales, and personal protective equipment. 10. May work in a clean-room environment. 11. May assist drivers with loading at the Railyard. 12. Performs packaging and labeling duties as needed. 13. General maintenance and housekeeping in the warehouse and facility grounds. 14. Must report accidents or product spills promptly and take action to contain any spilled product if able to do so in a safe manner. 15. Generates and handles all hazardous waste in compliance with state and federal regulations. 16. Performs emergency response duties as necessary. 17. Must comply with all company safety, security, quality and environmental standards. 18. Works within the Tarr System Manual built upon the framework of ISO 9001 Quality Management System and Responsible Distribution Process requirements. 19. Performs other duties and assignments as directed by management. Qualifications: 1. Must have good math and English language and reading skills. 2. Must successfully pass required physical, respirator and drug screenings. 3. Must have good hand/eye coordination and good motor skills. 4. Must be dependable, reliable and mature enough to handle equipment and chemicals safely and sensibly. 5. General knowledge of warehouse procedures. 6. Some knowledge of general chemistry is recommended and knowledge of handling hazardous materials is helpful. 7. Must be flexible and able to manage multiple tasks. 8. Must be detail-oriented and accurate with paperwork. Mon-Fri work week.
